The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join our successful partnership, Zasman Vet.

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.

You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

We collaborate between all the branches so you are supported whether sole charge or in one of the larger branches.

You must be pet and client-centric and have excellent communication skills, competent in spays and castrates.

The Branch

Our Zasman Vet group has eight branches across North London. This role will be based in the Hampstead area and will work in some of the local practices alongside experienced vets.

We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community. We take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice. including Certificate Holders and a Diplomate.

You will be working alongside a Certificate Holders within well-equipped practices including digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy. All out-of-hour care is managed by a local Medivet hospital, where you will also have access to CT and MRI.
