White’s Pet Hospital is located in beautiful Santa Barbara, California. We are close to the ocean and have perfect weather nearly all year. Our hospital has a unique opportunity for an experienced veterinary professional interested in a busy and rewarding position.

The ideal person in the position will have absolute compassion for animals and their people and will be able to maintain a compassionate and even tempered approach to customer service at all times while supporting the hospital team. We are looking for an individual with customer service experience, specifically in veterinary medicine and experience working in a general office setting. The person in this position will support our customer service team, prepare paperwork for upcoming appointments including preparing surgical estimates and health certificates, and will support management with administrative tasks.

Job duties and necessary qualities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for supporting hospital operations both related and non-related to veterinary medicine
• Able to handle multiple tasks and support the customer service team when their workload overflows
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple calendars, schedules, meetings, phone lines, and written communications professionally
• Proactively address the needs of our veterinarians and clients related to scheduling, preparing estimates, and patient follow up
• Familiar with the hospital and it’s policies and procedures
• Master the hospital appointment and surgical schedule, ensuring each day is scheduled for efficiency and ultimately success
• Takes initiative in all tasks
• Approaches role compassionately, treating clients and the team with extreme courtesy and respect
