Event Description
With your safety and responsible stewardship of our organization as priorities, the VOS Board of Directors voted to hold our 48th Annual VOS conference as the first ever VIRTUAL VOS, Thursday – Saturday, March 18-20, 2021.
That’s right … we’re coming to YOUR place so clean up the office, dust off your decorative pillows, and stock up the fridge! Seriously, we are REALLY excited to offer a live, interactive program including your favorite Jacques Jenny Lecture Series and the Mark Bloomberg Resident Research Awards, some friendly competition, fun games and more!
Our Jacques Jenny lecturer, Dr. Leesa Galatz, chair of the Orthopedics Department at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City and recent recipient of the 2021 ORS Women’s Leadership Forum Award will share the current science and cutting-edge techniques that she uses in her patients who suffer from shoulder and/or elbow disease and injury. You can read more in her bio below.
In addition to the usual live Q & A that follows abstract and lecture presentations, VIRTUAL VOS registrants will be able to chat live with the presenters DURING the pre-recorded abstract presentation. In addition to all of this live, interactive content, registrants will have access to hours of additional scientific and exhibitor/sponsor content ON DEMAND. In addition to the ON DEMAND supplemental content, ALL of the live, interactive content will also be recorded and available afterward so that our international guests don’t need to keep crazy hours to take advantage of all the cutting edge scientific abstract presentations. In addition to the our normal highly valued sponsorship opportunities, we’re excited to be introducing a new “Our Members Want to Know” OnDemand mini-program in which our supporters will be invited to submit brief and targeted pre-recorded video responses to our moderators’ provocative questions. Sponsors can opt to engage on one or more questions relevant to their product / service line; each video response with an associated submission fee. This is a great opportunity for our members to get answers to their questions, and our industry supporters are given the opportunity to tout their products and services. Sounds pretty ideal, huh?
You’re going to be pleasantly surprised at the low conference registration fees this year (see Registration Fees table). Coupled with the elimination of your personal travel expenses and the ease of attendance for our international members, we are expecting our registration numbers to RISE this year!
