Event Description
The BSAVA and the Wales Veterinary Centre (WVSC) are hosting Vets Cymru, a two-day event offering four streams covering both large and small animal ‘CPD by the sea’ for vets, vet nurses and students. The mixed practice event takes place in Aberystwyth on 28th and 29th June and has a ‘Welsh stamp’ across the programme, plus an exhibition of around 25 companies and social calendar which includes a traditional Welsh Twmpath, a dance night on the seafront. Message from the Welsh regional committee: We wish to extend a warm Croeso to Vets Cymru 2019 to all our vet and nurse colleagues in the profession! We have a packed programme of high quality CPD prepared for you at Vets Cymru 2019, at Aberystwyth in June. Our event committee have been working hard behind the scenes to pull together a series of lectures for both small and large animal veterinarians, and for nurses, aimed at enhancing general practice skills and knowledge, and given by world-class speakers. Aberystwyth is the place to be in the summer, with a long promenade and several beaches; the beautiful sandy beach at Borth and Ynyslas is over 3 miles long. Aberystwyth University, perched on a hill overlooking town and sea, will host the lectures each day, and on Friday evening we will all roll down the hill to the iconic Old College building on the seafront for a packed evening of dancing and food. Book your hotel along the promenade for a gentle stroll home after a night of twmpath dancing, and make sure to book early as we envisage this event will fill up fast.
