Wilston Vet Surgery

Wilston Vet recently became an ASAVA Accredited Small Animal Hospital which attests to our high standard of patient care. The applicant would be expected to perform thorough work-ups on cases and have a keen interest in internal medicine as well as be proficient in general surgery.

Although we refer very complex cases, most medical cases are worked up and treated in-house. Our surgery is well equipped, spacious and computerised with RX Works. We have all the toys for you to play with to enable a very high standard of veterinary care to be practised;

• Digital x-ray machine
• Digital dental x-ray, doppler
• Pulse ox/end tidal CO2 annalysers
• Tonometer
• In house IDEXX laboratory machines
• Ultrasound
• IM3 dental machine
• Infusion pumps
• Medical equipment

Currently the clinic is staffed by 2 full time and 3 part-time Vets. Our staff (4 full time Nurses, 2 part time Nurses, 1 Receptionist, a Practice Manager, a Groomer and several Kennel Hands) are very friendly and supportive. Our Vets work a 4 day week with a scheduled RDO per week, 1 in 3 Saturdays and there are no after hours!

We have low staff turnover and a friendly working environment. Our clients are lovely to deal with and are committed to providing the very best care for their pets. Our team was also recently awarded the nationwide AVPMA “Practice of Excellence in Customer Service Award”.
