Kitwe Animal Welfare Society (KAWS) works tirelessly to help frightened, sick, abandoned and injured animals receive treatment by providing low cost veterinary services. Our team never turn away needy animals, and always give careful consideration to each animal’s special emotional and physical needs.
Our goal is to protect animals against negligence, abuse and exploitation, and to promote responsible pet ownership.
We offer shelter to abused, abandoned, and rescued animals, boarding facilities and veterinary care. Our organisation is also highly involved in the community offering free rabies vaccinations and veterinary assistance, as well as, limited spays/neuters in the outlying areas.
