We are a small animal sanctuary, with a veterinary clinic on site, we are run totally on donations.
Sangkhlaburi lies within the Kanchanburi province, approximately 7 hours from Bangkok. Situated on the Myanmar border this picturesque town is surrounded by stunning mountains, national parks, waterfalls and rivers. With a Thai, Burmese, Karen and Mon population the rich cultural diversity is what makes this town unique.
Established in 2007, Thai Animal Sanctuary is a small sanctuary – home to about 35 resident dogs. We opened our veterinary clinic in 2012, and are the only veterinary clinic/shelter for more than 200km (4 hours drive). We see all manner of ailments – from regular fleas & ticks, to scabies, distemper, parvo, and human inflicted injuries. We also run regular sterilisation and vaccination projects to humanely manage the stray animal population, and improve the health and well-being of animals and humans in the area.
